Affirmation of Baptism

Faith Builders Confirmation Ministry culminates with the Rite of Affirmation of Baptism at the end of eighth grade where students choose to affirm the promises made for them at baptism and become full members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Faith Builders Confirmation: 7th and 8th grade ministry

Confirmation ministry is led by pastors, staff and dedicated small group leaders who foster spiritual growth, teach the basics of our faith, and encourage learning through serving. This ministry is offered to students in seventh and eighth grade who are building their faith (hence the name). Faith building is accomplished through Wednesday evening classes, camps, retreats, Sunday morning classes and service projects.

Worship Notes and Sunday School

We expect confirmation students to attend worship and Sunday school on Sunday mornings. In fact we think it’s so important that students are required to fill in 10 worship notes and attend 10 Sunday School classes during the fall semester and 10 more of each during the spring semester. Students receive worship notes at summer camp, and extras are available. Also, makeup worksheets will be available for missed Sunday school classes.

Faith Builders Calendar

January 9, 2008–February 29, 2008

Sessions begin at 6:30 pm with worship or lessons.  Family members are encouraged to worship with the confirmands and are welcome to the lessons as well!  All sessions conclude at 8:30 pm. (Starting on Feb. 13, there will be an optional, simple meal served in Founder’s Hall before worship, from 5:30 to 6:15 pm.)
